C0 PFAS Free DWR (Durable Water Repellency) coating is the outermost finish applied to exclusive 686 fabrics increasing their contact angle and thus repelling water while maintaining high breathability. DWR also helps repel stains and oils that can damage your garment's surface.
Everywear®. It’s in the name. This was the fabric chosen above all others to center the 686 Everywear® apparel around. The perfect amount of stretch. Just the right durability in the nylon to make it move with you and drape just right. Breathable with a stain resistant finish and an Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 40+. If you wanted to create a piece of apparel that had to perform at a high level across the board, Everywear® fabric is up for the job.
Ultraviolet Protection Factor gauges a fabric's effectiveness at filtering both ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) light. In everyday terms, a rating of UPF 40+ means the fabric allows less than 2.5% UV transmission. UPF-rated clothing enhances protection against UV-related health risks. Increase your personal safety and decrease your reliance on sunscreen by covering up with our UPF-rated clothing.
The day after they arrived in the mail I took them on a four night surf camping trip to Jalama (hour north of Santa Barbara). Unless I was in my suit or my trunks I was in these shorts and they were absolutely outstanding. Beyond comfortable for hiking, lounging and cooking around the campfire, playing beach volleyball, whatever. Love the included shoestring belt. Outstanding pockets. And the color completed the look. Love the cut and how stretchy yet sturdy the material is. They really do feel extremely durable for how comfortable they are. Had a few 5-6 hour drives to and from the Bay Area to get down there and these proved to be some excellent road trip shorts as well. Many more trips coming up this summer/fall and these are coming with me wherever I go. Off to Big Sur this weekend!
